30 Things You Didn't Know
ChatGPT Could Do
Learn about 30 Things You Didn't Know ChatGPT Could Do,
including leveraging it's huge potential
with A1! Things like creating content and support with coding etc, to
brainstorming business ideas and personal coaching, we are going to discover
the undiscovered roles and capabilities of ChatGPT for us. See how many of
these ideas might help you think about clever ways to use ChatGPT that could
free up time, make you more creative, and ultimately enhance your life!
I want to point something
out. Most people are using ChatGPT wrong. They simply throw random questions at
it and get an average result. After working with thousands of creators at my
YouTube agency I have figured some tricks out that allow you to use ChatGPT as
a basic chatbot, but instead to unlock it into your personal genius assistant.
Let me clarify, these are not your regular "use better
prompts" tips. These are the underground tips that we use on a daily basis
to produce 10x results. Are you ready to step up?
1.
The Chunking Function
Stop giving ChatGPT massive prompts! It is not a mind reader.
Complex requests should be broken down into smaller components.
1. Ask a question, or one clear question
2. Get the response
3. Build out the response with followup questions
For example, instead of
"Write me a business plan", do this:
"First, give me an outline for a dropshipping business
plan"→Then, "Now, expand the marketing section"→Then,
"Finally, add financial projections"
2. RolePlaying
Assign a title to the ChatGPT and see what happens:
"Act as a Nobel Prizewinning chemistry teacher, describing
ionic bonds to a beginner"
It can work with ANY title, marketing wizard, therapist, even a
pirate if that's what you like!
3. Chat Organization
101
Is your chat history a complete mess? Two options for resolution:
Rename chats descriptively ("Blog Post Vegan Recipes")
Delete old worthless chats weekly
Pro Tip: We use color-coding at the agency: red for urgent, blue is for
research, etc.
4. Talk Like a Human
Do not be a robot. Nobody likes "Please generate "
nonsense. ChatGPT is able to understand normal language:
Bad: "Create content about dogs"
Good: "I need a fun Instagram post about golden retrievers -
make it playful as if we are talking to dog lovers!"
5. Chat Mode
Temporary
This is kind of like incognito mode for sensitive stuff:
1.
Brainstorming
business ideas
2.
Private health
questions
3.
Anything you do not
want saved
You can find it in settings → toggle ""temporary
chat"
6. Treasure Chest of
Custom Instructions
A lot of people completely miss this! You can tell ChatGPT:
Who you are (student, marketer, etc.)
How you want it to respond (in a formal way, with bullet points,
etc.)
We set ours to: "I run a Youtube agency just give concise, actionable advice, with
examples"
7. Memory Flush
When ChatGPT starts to get weird, it's reached the limit. You have
to flush it at least once per month:
Settings → Personalization → Clear Memory
Think of it as restarting your phone for when it starts acting
glitchy, usually fixes 90% of the issues
8. Voice Identity
1.
The default voice
making you fall asleep? Change it!
2.
Settings → Speech →
Select a different voice
3.
My entire team
enjoys "Ethan" for serious discussions, and "Sophie" for
not so serious
9. Privacy is Important!
1.
If you are talking
about sensitive matters, TURN THIS OFF!
2.
Settings → Data
Controls → Improve Model for everyone
3.
Now your chats will
stay private
10. Google Drive
Integration
This feature is invaluable for content creators:
1.
You can integrate
your Drive
2.
Use clear names for
your files ("Q3 Marketing Strategy" rather than "Draft 2")
3.
ChatGPT can
reference/edit them directly
4.
Saves my agency
hours each week
11. Turn ON
EVERYTHING
You don't want to disable your AI! Turn ON:
Browsing (entire internet)
DALL·E (image creator)
Code interpreter
Settings → Beta Features → Turn ON ALL
12. Formatting
Requests
If you want it, you will get exactly what you want!
1.
"give me a
step-by-step guide and bullet points"
2.
"make a
comparison table between X and Y"
3.
"just write in
3 short paragraph's max"
13. The 10 Year Old
Strategy
Stuck on difficult ideas? Try asking:
"Explain quantum physics to a 10 year old"
Works for ANYTHING finance,
programming, you name it
14. Dark Mode FTW :)
Easier on your eyes, especially at night:
Settings → Appearance → Dark Mode
(Or Auto to follow your system)
15. Context is King
ChatGPT cannot read your mind. Share:
1.
Your background
2.
Your specific needs
3.
Any details that are
unique to you
E.g. "I'm a college senior writing about the impacts of climate
change on coastal cities"
16. Prompt Doctor
If you're having trouble writing prompts, you can always ask:
"Make this prompt better, and tell me what you changed"
ChatGPT will teach you while fixing your prompts as well.
17. Plus, Plus Plus!
Free version is like riding around with a bicycle. $20/month lets
you use:
1.
GPT4 (so much
smarter)
2.
Unlimited image
generation
3.

serious users.
18. Model, Model,

4.

This is ideal for:
1.
Scriptwriting
2.
Coding
3.
Academic papers
Where's Canvas mode? Under the model selection.
20. Advanced
Reasoning
For difficult problems try setting the model to:
1.
"GPT4 with
Advanced Data Analysis"
2.
With this power you
can add:
3.
complex math
problems
4.
data science
5.

puzzles
21. Inbox of

Directions

2.
forces you to be
clear and organized
23. Examples
Provide ChatGPT with plenty of examples of what you're looking for:
1.
"Write product
descriptions like this example: [paste example]"
2.
mimics style
24. Picture Analysis
Upload pictures for:
1.
Recipe ideas based
on whatever ingredients you have
2.
Identifying plants
and objects
3.
Analyzing graphs,
charts, or data
4.
Slightly underrated
feature!
25. Mobile App

29. Life Planning
ChatGPT is great at:
1.
Travel itineraries
2.
Meal plans
3.

30. Tips for using
DALL·E Images
For the best images:
1.
Be hyper-specific.
2.
Include style (i.e.
photorealistic, anime, etc.)
3.
Specify aspect ratio
required.
For example "Generate a wide 16:9 image of a cyberpunk city at night with
neon lights in the rain."
And one final pro
tip. You can combine the
methods! Example process:
1. Use roleplay ("Act as a marketing expert")
2. Break it down into steps ("First analyze this
market...")
3. Specify format required ("Give me a table that
compares...")
4. Store successful prompts to utilize again
At my agency, we have trained all our writers using the exact same
methods. The effect is that scripts which previously took 3 hours are now
taking 30 minutes with a better result.
It's important to remember that ChatGPT is the equivalent to a
super-power intern. The better instructions you give, the better result you'll
get. With just starting with the 23 of the tips today, I can guarantee you'll
find your productivity increasing exponentially.
